5/24 rule doesn't apply to everyone HAHAHAHA

I'm unbelievably happy. I logged onto my Chase Freedom account and I saw the offer, punched my income in, submit it and it was pending for a 30 day approval. I called the back number and they wanted to verify my identity and volia. I was approved.

Wow.. congrats, I also see offers for Freedom, Slate, and CSP but nothing ever came up in online pre approvals.. so I thought these offers might be just marketing.. good to hear that it is actually a preapproval what you see in offers

Just to clarify, inquiries aren't part of 5/24. Number of (non-business) credit cards you've opened up in the last 24 months are what the 5/24 rule refers to.

I believe that after a Chase approval, their prequalifier and special offers don't show prequals for 30 days.
