$9500 after 5 years and 3 months, I was at $7,500 for the SL....I hardly ever use the card and use it only to pay off a monthly utility.

did your credit profile not change much in five years?

I remember when my score stagnated due to high debt (not utilization though) and they wouldn't go over 10k for like 4 years.

to be fair, my discover card was always almost maxed out at one point (80% util) because they just kept offering me 0% for 12 mos or 1.9 for 14 months IIRC.

did you ever have a high balance at all? maybe high balances on other cards?
