Alliant CU, CL higher than requested. Normal?

To be honest I didn't want to apply another CC this year. I simply have too many CCs. I even opt out mail offers for CC, yet Alliant CU kept sending me offer to apply their Visa Rewards card.

 

So I filled out the online application and submitted it. Was expecting they call me to ask for paystub/bank statements, but no phone call ever came. Instead when I logged in online I saw a Visa account with CL of $15,000. I only requested $2,500 so this is completely unexpected. Has this happened to anyone? 

 

I will know if Alliant CU is kidding me once I received the card. If high CL is indeed true and their customer service holds up, I might consider closing my Arrival card, which so far has disappointing customer service.

Thanks everyone. Does someone here have United design? I was asked whether I want Allaint or United design. Since there is no picture I don't know what United design looks like.

 

If anyone has United design mind PM a picture of what it looks like (with number and name blacken out of course)?
