I applied for the Alliant Signature Visa, with 3%, but was denied. The minimum starting limit on that card is $15K. I have a feeling they'd like to issue those to select pre-existing customers.
So, feeling bad about taking a hard pull for no reason, I applied for a regular Alliant Visa Platinum card.
Approved
$5K (asked for this, as I didn't want to seem greedy or desperate)
13.9% APR
My idea is to manage this card for a year and then apply for that signature card they have.
