Amazon Chase approved! But....

I was approved for an initial limit of $500. Call me silly but what does an initial limit mean?

I dont know why they word it like that, it gives people hope that the actual credit line will be larger. but thats the limit you are given. Congrats on the new amazon card!

ddemari is it chase that says "your initial limit is" but when you get the card it's higher? what bank is that! lol going crazy.

It does you give false hope like they're going to increase the "initial" limit.

synch bank does the initial credit limit thing too, espeically with ebates visa. fortunately, they are going to give you a higher CL than they state! lol. when I was approved for amazon visa, i got the 500, too. I was able to have a personal banker call chase and "reconsider" my credit limit and they did without another pull. they raised the limit to $4500

That gives me some hope. I guess I should call the recon line to see if they will reconsider my limit.

you can ask them, but they will probably want to do a hard pull. if you do call, ask them to reconsider using the same credit report and see what they say. i have a good repore with some of the bankers at the chase I go into a lot for business related stuff and i have several personal accounts. if i called, i dont think I would have yieled sucess.

Ebates from Sync gives you a Temporary limit shopping pass when approved.  Chase is just a tease, unless you want to take another HP for most likely nothing.
