Finally got out of credit jail today--last baddie removed on Experian, the last hold-out, and score shot up 150 pts. Time for a mini-spree.
Apped for Prime Visa; approved for $4k (was hoping for more but I'll take it). Also finally got my 3x CLI from NFCU (only took 2 years) and CashRewards moved up to CashRewards +. I just got an auto CLI on my BoA CCR last month, but hit the luv button anyway and got another $1200. (Less than I asked for, but again, I'll take it.)
Question re: NFCU: Before they issue my new card, I'm considering requesting a PC from CashRewards to GoRewards since the rewards are better for my usual spend, and since I don't currently have a card on the AmEx network. Does anyone know if NFCU still does PCs?
DPs: All were instant approvals, but Chase did a double hard pull on TU and Exp. (Wasn't expecting that.) BoA (as expected) was a soft pull on Exp. No alert for NFCU so not sure who they pulled, but probably EQ. Old string of lates from 2018 still showing on TU and EQ (should come off next month); clean card on Exp. Scores (FICO 8): TU 733, EQ 728, Exp 775. Only balances are a closed Discover ($900, still paying off) and $250 on the CashRewards. New accts for those wondering about Chase: 4/24, 1/12.
Whew. It was a long 7-year rebuild. Now back to the garden.
Congratulations on your approvals.
Congrats on your approvals !

I'd double check the math to make sure, and since I don't currently have a card on the AmEx network Did you mean the MoreRewards Amex card?. Does anyone know if NFCU still does PCs? assuming the card is over a year old they should do it no problem, just contact them and ask
No alert for NFCU so not sure who they pulled, but probably EQ. Navy CLIs are EQ SPs

Retirement is just so much fun.
Not much spend, so yeah, 3% for groceries/gas is helpful. It will replace a card that is probably about to get sock-drawered. I have cards with 2% or better on most other things. Still looking for better than 1% on utilities.
Did you mean the MoreRewards Amex card?
Yes, I did, sorry.
Congrats!!
Thank you!
That’s Terrific!! Congratulations on your Successl!!👏🏼🍾🥂
Congrats!
Congrats on the successful rebuild and the approval!
I'm pretty sure NFCU allows product changes but you would need to check with them to find out which card can be changed to what.
Congratulations on those approvals.
Thank you all!
