Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature Card - Approval

Yesterday, was shopping on Amazon and notice they offer a rewards visa signature card issed by Chase;  5% cash back on all Amazon orders, 2% restraunts, gas station, drugstores and 1% all other purchases.  Applied and was instantly approved for $5000 but high APR 20.49% but I will PIF.  They pulled both TU and EX.  Is this card included in Chase rule 5/24?  I already have Chase Freedom and Chase Freedom Unlimited.

Re: Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature Card - Approval

Congratulations on your approval! From the data points and discussions on these forums as well as outside sources such as Doctor of Credit, this co-branded card is not subject to Chase’s 5/24 Rule.

Congratulations on your new card.

Not sure about the 5/24.  Ill let the Chase gurus chime in.  There are many here.

No doubt about it.  It's a nice card especially if you shop amazon on a regular basis!

Enjoy!

Re: Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature Card - Approval

For clarification on Chase's 5/24 rule it applies to the Amazon card in that you can apply for it since it's not a card that falls under 5/24 but the card once applied/approved does count if you try to get one of Chase's products that the rule falls under such as the CSR, CSP, CFU, and Freedom cards.

Thank You!   Just check DOC web site and it states that Chase Amazon is not effected by the 5/24 rule.

Re: Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature Card - Approval

Like simplynoir said, it does and it doesn’t count depending on what situation you’re in.
It doesn’t count if you’re applying for it and you’re at 5/24. However, it does count for people who already have it, and now are trying to get a different Chase card and that card is in the 5/24 period. In that case, it may affect the outcome of a new Chase card app.
