Amazon Prime Visa Approval after 30 day review message

Congrats on the approval.  It's a great card, not just for Amazon, but Chase throws out bonus cashback offers from time to time on it as well.

BTW, you may find once you receive the card and log into Chase that your SL is actually higher.  $5000 is the max the approval onscreen or email shows on this card, even if the real limit is more.

I called the application status number and the recording said, I will get an answer within 30 days. I resigned myself to this meant that this was probably going to be a denial. Last night I got an email that I was approved with a  $5000 SL. Don't panic if you apply and get this message, it doesn't necessarily mean you've been denied.

A Chase 30 day message just means that the application hasn't been reviewed yet, it's a completely neutral status.

It's when status changes from 30 days to 7-10 that concern is warranted as that usually means either they need more information or a denial is forthcoming.
