I have been helping my Dad choose some new cards (before we started, he just had two Bank of America cards).
PSECU Founders Card approved $30,000 last year
Chase only approved $4200 in May or June
AmEx approved $10,000 (better than Chase) today [EDIT: I was wrong, $10,000 was available, but $12,500 was approved]
He just decided to get an AmEx Cash Magnet card, which I helped him get. Unfortunately, he didn't get the instant account number and customer service has said they can't expedite the card because it's already processing through USPS, even though it hasn't been mailed yet.
They told us to expect it in 7-10 days (maybe business days), but that they usually arrive sooner. The tracking says to expect it on Nov 23. He is making a larger purchase on Nov 21, which would mean he needs his card by Nov 20.
Does anyone know how long it actually takes to get a new card?
Also, does anyone know if AmEx still does the 3x CLI despite the pandemic?
Grats to your father on his CashMagnet
3x is still intact.
Congratulations to your DD on his Amex CM Approval..
Congrats on the approval!! I've never had an Amex card take more than 5 days for delivery.
The only time I remember long delays, when they released rose gold color for gold.
Congrats on his approval!

Thanks, I really appreciate the feedback.
One more question, 5 calendar day, 5 business days (M-F minus holidays), or 5 postal days (M-S minus holidays)?
My Dad will ask me, even though all 3 would be in time
I've had them for years. Platinum and gold were always expedited when I had them.
Credit cards have never been more than 5 business days, not including holidays.
Congratulations on the approval.
Congratulations on DD's Amex Cash Magnet approval!
