That's encouraging to know, OP. I applied for BCE this Monday night and my starting CL is $5000. I'm going to try for the CLI upon activation, pretty excited to finally have a decent grocery/dining card.

I didn't see any HP's other then the one I got on Applying.  I assume it was an SP with the cli....

I applied a couple days ago and am waiting for my card to arrive.  From your comment, I get the impression that Amex is good about increases? Do you always have to request them or do they just increase occasionally?
