^+1. My starter card was a Delta Gold with a $1K limit. I've since applied for and recieved the Hilton Aspire and the Amex Platinum. I subsequently upgraded the Delta Gold to the Delta Reserve. In the last year and a half, I've spent a quarter-million dollars (seriously) on my Amex cards. Yet, try as I might, Amex will not raise the limit on that bleeping Delta card.
Forcing $30K spend through it in a year (for the MQM boost) is next to impossible, but I've made it work. Nevertheless, I'm getting to the point that I'm ready to just reallocate some of the Hilton CL.
