If it were me and your balance is low on the everyday card, I'd request that they transfer some of the CL from everyday card to BCE card. The low limit on the BCE was probably to limit their overall exposure and transfering cl between the two should be easy.

I think you would have to activate the card first, but I did that as soon as I recieved mine. I had a 10000 limit on what was the costco american express. Knowing the Costco AE would soon be extinct I applied for BCE and recieved with 5500 SL. Called CSR and asked if I could transfer 4500 of the costco card cl to the bce, which they did without even a HP.

So the new card doesn't have to be 60 days old to do it?

I saw online that it says that it has to be 60 days old...at least one site said that. They did it for me immediately, but since they were severing ties with Costco, they may have done it as an exception to the rule...I do not know!
