Reading around on here, saw some recon information on here about Amex recons and writing letters so I typed up a letter to explain my inquiries which is why the card was denied. Mailed it to address on the denial letter and about 3 weeks later got a random email that the green card was approved. I stated my inquiries were for trying to get the best deal and as a business owner it's in my nature to be constantly looking for a better deal, which is true. Apparently that was good enough. I chose the green over gold or platinum as I will probably not be able to negate the annual fees and this one I can. I was also approved for the BCP before I tried for the green. I was pre-qualified online for any card. I like the gas and grocery categories with BCP and I have never gotten in with Amex so I applied only got a small sl of 2k hopefully I can grow it. Which is why I probably should have held off on the green card but live and learn. I was also approved for BCEU for 18000 at 15.49. This was one day after being approved for membership which I had to supply utilities or 2;bank statements and social security card uploads for, I chose bank statements. The card needed no documents and was instantly approved. Reading others stories we will see if that holds up on not needing anything. All in all I was happy.
