Hey Guys,

Took a chance to get approved since I have never been with AMEX and wanted to get a foot in the door with them and thats just about what I did. SL $500. I thought I was going to get the 1k but something is better then nothing.

Congrats. It's a start and Amex is a great company, BCE is a good card as well. Take care of it and enjoy it. In 61 days it should be $1500 limit anyway

Congrats on the approval.

As a counterpoint, the $500-$2000 starting limits have been known to stay there for a while, so don't expect the 61 day 3x CLI. Just keep using the card and PIF, and eventually the Amex wall will come down.

+1 Ive got the 1k SL and it hasnt budged in 10 months

Thanks for the feed back guys. Im just happy to have the door open and letting it grow. I have only 5 % utilization accross the board so its just time to let it grow. Here is the rest of my proflie.

Congrats OP.

In April I was approved at $1400 SL and after 60 days I asked for a CLI and it was bumped to $4200. This past weekend I asked for another CLI and they doubled it to $8400. You have to ask for the CLI, don't assume they're just going to raise it.

Congrats on a great card. It will grow! Mine has grown since I got it in 2011!
