Amex Blue Cash Preferred, Instant Approval, Soft Pull on Experian - 25K

BB&T Bright, Instant Approval, Soft Pull on Equifax - 20K

I have other BB&T cards with half the limit of this card. Two months ago, opened a BB&T checking to take advantage of $200 bonus offer. Just checked qualifier and was offered all 3 cards again. 

Not bad for 2 soft pulls, not bad at all !

Did try the newly added Lexus Pursuits pre-qualify link and was offered 8000 but knowing Comenity, YMMV, did not proceed. Plus, I have very strict criteria for wasting a hard pull. Comenity does NOT even come close to merit a hard pull.

It gets easier getting bigger limits once one has higher limits already reporting on credit reports. I waited to do these apps, even though they are soft pulls till my recent UBS Infinite and HSBC Elite cards started reporting also. I have 13 cards reporting limits in excess of 25K, not including these two.

Also, that's great strategy and I've been working my way toward overall higher cl avgs myself.  I'm not anywhere near to yours but I'm trying to do just that, beef it up.  Great approvals on both, congrats there!

Question:  Do you have multiple low limit cards still reporting on your cr, in the closed section?  If so, how many?  I'm trying to decide on closing my last two under 10k but would like some feedback.  Your post popped up- perfect timing.
