Amex CLI - $5k every 6 months

Today is the 180th day after my last CLI from Amex on my Delta Gold card. I requested another $10k but got the 7-10 day message. I interpreted that as a signal that an income verification request is coming. So I used the back button on my browser and tried again for $5k. Instant approval. 

New limit is $40k. This particular card gets very little use, but I have been a very profitable customer of Amex's for over 25 years. EX8 is around 786.

 

Looking forward to doing this again on 3/27/2022.
