Excellent!! Congrats on the increase!!

My patience is not there, however so I might be asking for a much larger increase in July, and expect the IV.
Understood. It's all category spend/card specific I suppose. Since my spend is minimal, a large limit really is nothing more than fluff on this account. For me, the BCE is nothing more than a 3% grocery card that typically gets rendered obsolete for half the year if Discover and Freedom offer a 5% grocery category on quarter apiece. I don't care about the 2% gas on the BCE, as I'd rather put the spend on my Citi DC where the rewards can be redeemed far quicker.

May I ask how much spend you put on the this particular card?
Very minimal. For the past 6 months since my last $5k CLI the card has only seen an $1107 total spend. That's down from ~$1450 or so (exact number in the thread linked in Post 1) the previous 6 months. $1107 total spend over 6 months averages out to $184.50/mo, or between one-quarter and one-half of 1% of my limit.
Bottom line is that spend clearly doesn't matter much if at all to Amex when it comes to CLIs IMO.
Congratulations! You inspired me to give AmEx a try. Not in your neighborhood, yet.

A try in terms of an application, or a try in terms of a CLI request on an existing account?

Do you have any other AMEX cards?
Nope, just this one. I have no intentions of picking up another, as their products really don't appeal to me... so I'm just going to continue to go for $5k/6mo increases just to see how high they'll go.
While perhaps implied, it's also worth clarifying that not only is this my only Amex account currently, but my only one ever; I have no prior history with Amex before acquiring this card 2.5 years ago.
