Amex Double APPROVAL

I went ahead and pulled the trigger...
After 6 months+ of receiving AMEX EDC AND BCE offer letters... I went ahead and applied for EDC = approved for 1,000

I told myself what the hell apply for the BCE it can’t hurt right ? = APPROVED FOR 1,000

I know the Cl is fairly low but I’m going to follow the Amex 3xcli.

I wanted my cards to age together...

Does me applying for both cards hurt me? Or no.

I’ve read you normally don’t get approved for two revolvers on same day. I’m so excited to have foot in door

So right now my score  = 670

Utilization % 24

I only have one credit card within past year, QS1, no lates, PIF every month.

Cap 1 platinum which carries the balance.

one baddie that is 6 years old. (2 others I fought and were removed)

1 car loan with no lates.

student loans = Current/defferment.

EDC I have the 15,000 bonus points after first 1000 spent

BCE I received 150 cash back after 1,000 spent.

It hasn’t shown up on my credit just yet... and I didn’t even look for charge card offer to be honest. I will post when the inquires show and how many.

Congrats on the double approval and two great cards!  I just got BCP myself and the sign up bonus posted literally the hour I hit my spend requirement.  Super awesome.

One thing to keep in mind is that Amex has started offering "rebuilder" card limits of $500, $1000 or $2000 to some folks and these "rebuilder" cards may not qualify for a 3X 61 day CLI -- typically those cards get an automatic CLI around the 6th month or statement.  You can and should try for a 61 day 3X CLI but don't be disappointed if they decline you.  Either way, these cards will grow with responsible usage!
