Hey All!
I applied and was approved (apparently pre-approved as there was no hard pull) for the Amex Everyday Preferred card. I already have the Amex Gold for restaurant and grocery spend, but my spouse and I spend enough at gas stations every month to make extra points in that catagory worth adding the EDP to our wallets. Anyway, Amex gave me a SL of $22,200 which I honestly found shocking. Should I be shocked, or is that fairly normal? I also have the Delta SkyMiles Plat which has a $17,500 limit, plus several other cards in the $8-12K range so I really didn't expect to get more than maybe a couple grand on the EDP. My scores are around 785, utilization is about 5%, DTI around 12%. What I find absurd is that my total credit limit now far exceeds my annual income. Just wondering if maybe Amex made a mistake, especially given the current economy.
Congratulations on your approval!!
Congratulations!

I highly doubt Amex made a mistake.
Congrats on your approval!!! They didn't make a mistake.

Congrats on the approval!!
Congrats 🎉.
I cant wait to finally be approved for an AMEX card, like this or the Blue Cash Everyday with a CL like that. This is a goal!
