So i went on to my amex account to pay my gold delta card. Decided to check pre-appovals....hit gold...... the holy Alain your pre approved! Was to happy i put in my income and hit submit, after a long 30 seconds screens changes my heart drops. At this time we can not approve you What the heck! So I decided to give recon a try and see what they said since the site to see why i was declined was down. So i wait about 2 min to connect to someone very nice and i infom him what happend, he asked for my Ref number, i give him this and he goes oh i see here that you were denied since you have a freeze and fraud alert on your report.... i was like uhhh yeah but i thought you SP for my Credit. He then goes to say yes but we need to make sure it was you applying.... i was like uh yes he asked me to verify some stuff...... then goes okay updated it your now apporved ill overnight your card!
So i guess that is a new data point about freezes and fraud alerts for amex pre appovals.
