This is a strange one for me. I've been with AMEX for about 3 years now. I have the BCP card with a starting limit of 10k. I recently tried a CLI and was denied due to a erroneous collection account on my Experian Credit report. It dropped my score down to 663. Understandable that AMEX would deny a CLI at this time. I got a welcome offor for the Gold AMEX card, I hit the apply tab just for giggles and VIOLA! APPROVED. Now all the AMEX cards have pre-approval status on them...... WTH?

I started a thread about getting denied for Amex EDC and a couple of weeks later I'm approved for all their cards. I have the Cash Magnet card. I don't get it either.
