Thanks for all of the congratulations! When I spoke to Amex, they said it shouldn't be a problem to backdate the member since date once I receive the actual card. I am so excited!

Wow, that's great! I thought MSD Backdating from Corporate to Personal is a no-no, but maybe for personal business to regular personal...Glad it worked out for ya, congrats again.
question.... my scores should be similiar to yours when my reports update ( old collection accounts are off) how many inquiries do you have on your report?
@NatureDawg wrote:I have wanted an Amex for quite some time. I have been working to get my scores up and have had significant success with getting negative items removed (most recently some old student loan trade lines were deleted), but felt I should wait a while before applying. Last night I finally applied, and to my surprise I was approved. Immediately approved! I was shocked. As you can see below, my scores are not all that great (still a work in progress), but I have been following the advice on this site and it has paid off in a big way! Now I am wondering if they will backdate my card to the date I received my corporate card. I hope so!
Congrats on your approval welcome to the Amex family

OMG.. I have to try this, as I was just approved last week! It'll only add a year for mine, but worth a shot!
Thank you for sharing, and following up!
Congrats!
They only pulled Experian. That report had 5 inquiries on it. 2 of them were almost 1 year old. Experian is the best of my reports and I have fewer negatives on that report than the others because some of my accounts don't report to Experian for some reason (not questioning it, just thankful). Hope this helps.
Congrats on your new Amex approval!!
Good luck with the backdating
Congrats!
When you call, I would just tell them you were just checking to see if it was linked to your other account because you thought when it came it would have the same member since date as your other Amex card. Don't mention it is a corp card (not sure if it matters) then let them look it up and respond, they will likely tell you they can fix it for you and a new card with your correct member since date will arrive in 7-10 days. It's best to correct it before it reports to the CRB's from what I have read.
I was able to get them to backdate the account to 2012!!! Sweet!!!

Congrats on getting it backdated using the corp card because every bit of AAoA helps!
Usually they don't backdate on a corp card, so I guess its YMMV but you lucked out, and congrats again!!!
