In June 2018, I was approved for the Amex PRG, now Amex Gold card with an Experian score of 626. Tried to get a 2nd Amex 5 times since, all denied (Tried Delta Gold (Sept 2018)(Dec 2018)(Feb 2019), Hilton Honors (Oct 2018), and Amex Platinum (March 25th, 2019)). Denial reasons were derogs on file and not long enough member with Amex.
On the morning of on April 1st, I checked my account and I got a popup to apply the Business Platinum. It said, you are pre-approved. So I decided to check Amex personal cards. Every cards, showed Pre-approval when I hit the "Apply" button.
I figured it would be another SP if I get rejected and went for the Hilton Honor Aspire card. Was approved for $3,100 for 26.99%. The minimum SL and the max APR for the card. I PIF monthly so APR won't matter. I am happy to finally get a second Amex card. 
Already got my card in the mail today. Amex sent it next day air.
