A little behind, but it's been a hectic past 30 days. Approved for Amex Platinum on 6/11, so just before the new AF and new perks were confirmed. I am glad I got in at $550. 100k MR points with 5k spend in 6 months, 10x points on gas/groceries for first 6 months.
I had a very last minute, unplanned flight that had to be booked ASAP so this Platinum was a no brainer for me. Already spent 4K in the first 30 days so the SUB will be taken care of within the next couple of weeks. The 10x groceries/gas will come in handy in place of my gold for a few months. The Platinum credits are actually useful for me, some of which came in handy for flight incidentals, and I will likely fly at least once more within the next year. Remains to be seen if it will be a year 2 card with the changes.
DP: 60k income, 714 Experian, customer with Amex since 1/2021 with the Gold and it was a soft pull.
