First AMEX card? That a huge SL for your first one. Congrats!
$10K isn't huge for AMEX. It's normal for a good solid clean report. Now testing the hugeness of an AMEX card would be revisiting the account in a year after a couple of 3X CLI's on it.
OP - congrats for getting a foot in the door and the $10K. The ED and BCE use different rewards structures but, kind of accumulate at the same pace. It depends on what offer was available when you selected it for the bonus. I debated between the two and went with BCE because it felt better than the ED when it came to the rewards. The ED is a 1% until you hit 20 transactions a month and then converts to 1.2%. BCE has 3/2/1% catagories instead for cash back. The MR structure is good for some but, cash back seemed simpler to deal with in the long run.
mods- duplicate post... same user under "AMEX"
Thought you were done applying....remember.
Congrats by the way.
