I recently got approved an Amex Blue Cash Everyday card with a $1600 SL. I was super excited because I had apped for an Amex 2 years ago, and was denied because of Chapter 13 BK in 2014. I read that Amex wouldn't approve with a reporting BK, so I was happy as heck to get one. As a side note, I have been an authorized user on 2 other Amex cards for over 2 years now. I don't know if that contributed in any way to my approval.
After the confidence boost, I decided to app for the Citi Double Cash card and was instantly denied. I called the EO number for a recon, and the nice lady told me that Citi wouldn't even consider the application until the BK was 7 years old, I'm at 6 years now. I'm mad at myself for taking the hard pull without researching that more beforehand.
Anyways, just wanted to put that out there for anyone else that may be considering either of these cards.
My scores are currently TU - 698, EQ - 718, EX - 695. Both pulled from EX.
