Another CSR approval in-branch

I was 5/24 until 2/18 and waited until 3/1 to go to a branch while traveling for work.

I was the 3rd person today applying for CSR to beat the deadline they said Smiley Happy

Instant approval 29k (735 FICO8, only pulled EX). I got the middle 20.49 APR tho Smiley Sad

Will likely move some of that limit to my lower APR cards (Freedom 14.49%, Marriott 15.74, or Slate 8.74%). Any input on how long I should wait before calling to reallocate some of the new limit? I get some great 0% BT offers on the other cards and use them occasionally.

Re: Another CSR approval in-branch

Congrats.

I have read that the cards reach their age at the 1st of the month, so if you got a card 2/18/15 it will 24 months old 1/1/17, so by 2/1/17 the card will not count to 5/24. I hope this is true because my DW is at 5/24, got 2 cards 03/15/15, so if she waits for 03/16/17 she will not get the 100K. She plans to go tomorrow or Saturday.

I think you can transfer some limit after getting/activating the card. Give it a try.

Re: Another CSR approval in-branch

haha - the APR isn't important - even at the lowest rate 16.49% there's no way I'd revolve one penny on it. I'm just surprised at why they gave me such a high limit on a new card, but haven't touched any of my existing accounts for years... kind of nuts, but at least I can try to move around limits to where it makes sense.

As for the 5/24 - the counter resets the FOLLOWING month. My #5 was 2/18/15, so it fell off 3/1/18. That said, I noticed that EX isn't showing one of my newer accounts, so I was 4/24 anyway ... but I didn't want to risk the denial in case they pulled another from TU or EQ. Strange, for the last 2 Chase cards I've gotten, it was always a pull from EX and TU - this time, it was EX only.

Re: Another CSR approval in-branch

My limits: UA 5k, Marriott 7k, Slate 3.5k, Freedom 10k ... CSR 29k

My oldest is 18 years (UA and Slate), newest was 2 years ago (Freedom). Never an auto CLI- I've moved limits around over the years (including closing Ann amazon visa).

Re: Another CSR approval in-branch

Congratulations! I did the opposite --- I moved credit from my Freedom and FU over to my CSR. It takes a lot of credit room to fly a family of 9 (2 parents + 7 kids) anywhere...

Re: Another CSR approval in-branch

Congrats!! But it makes no sense to me to give a 29k SL, and then a APR over 20%. Is the Chase Risk Department drunk?

Re: Another CSR approval in-branch

Can I get an in-branch approval if I do not have a Chase account?
