Another Discover IT approved but...

Applied for IT card after what it seems letter after letter for pre approval and had a choice between 9.99 APR or 13.99 APR with no BT fee first 60 Days.

Anyways I wanted BT for 5K so went for it and only got $3500 credit limit.

I haven't received my card yet are there any tricks to get more CL ?

Discover will be my 4th card and my highest is CAP1 with $6500

Re: Another Discover IT approved but...

I have read some post about RECON success with Discover. You should call them. All they can say is no.

Missed that...I'm surprised too. My scores are little lower than yours and I got the 0% APR.

I would definitely call tomorrow

Re: Another Discover IT approved but...

I was approved with 0% APR and BT for 14 months and the EQ score they pulled at the time was 692.

I think it was a bank enhanced score because it was much higher than the EQ score I got from DCU. DCU EQ was only 667 at the time.

Re: Another Discover IT approved but...

It was 14 months no APR at 9.99 at 3% BT or 12 months no APR at 13.99 with no BT fee first 60 days.

I took the NO BT fee as I'm not planning on leaving balance on the card.

I figured they can always lower my rate MAYBE at some point so I took the NO BT FEE to save $150 assuming I transfer $5000.

What's the number to call ? Going to ask for $2000-$2500 more.

I don't care if I use 90% of my credit as I'm not planning to app for anything anytime soon.

Discover is a good card as my DW has one and I took her card from $2000 starting CL to $9500 in about year and a half.

Funny she doesn't give a **** or knows she got CLI lol.

Thanks for the help....

Re: Another Discover IT approved but...

Discover uses a really weird sort of bank card enhanced Vantage score...

That's a great score, but I'm not sure it correllates to FICO
