Just like Comenity, they have been known to shut down accounts for too many of their CCs in a short period of time coupled with excessive credit seeking behavior. It would be unfortunate to see the same thing happen like your recent Comenity AA/closures .

Yes, I hear you!  Today/tomorrow is the last day i have to apply for cards. I will follow the advise from here and stop today.  It's been a good run, 12 CC aprrovals in May.

Are the gas cards for having a little more history? For chain-specific discounts?

EDP and Costco are two of the best gas cards there are, so to me the move seems a little odd.

That one was actually just because...the "applying" monster got in my head lol.

 

I use BCP for 3%, Disco for 5% gas categorie and PenFed Platinum  as well for 5 points/$1 spent. Will use the EDP this year to collect more Delta miles, i'm currently at 138k
