Closed on our house 11/25 and decided it was time to apply for some cards.
Approved for the following-
Penfed Promise Card- $15,000
Target RedCard- $2000.00
Citi Double Cash Card- $9,500
Capital One SavorOne- $10,000
Amex Blue Cash Preferred- $10,000
CLI- NFCU Flagship $25,000 to $31,000
Declined for Wells Fargo Propel Amex. I should have applied for that first, but I didn't smh. I decided to stop after Wells Fargo because I felt the next ones would start declining. On each report I had about 10-13 inquiries ( 3 for the house) with utilization at 5%.
Scores were 710+ on all three credit reports. Thank you all so much for the advice on this channel. I went from horrible credit (540 and lower) to having a house and tons of credit, and it's all from this board and advice. Now time to garden for 2-3 years LOL!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Well, well, grats on your new home and new run of cards
Quite the spree.. I need to step up my game(jk).. Enjoy the new house and the nice new card line-up. Also WF is just weird you would of probably been declined if it was your first card in your spree.. They will eventually hunt you down with pre-approvals at that time then and only then apply lol
Forget the cards. Congrats on the biggest investment in your life in a new home!
