After reading numerous post about NFCU and their CLI timeframes I decided to try for an early CLI @ Navy Federal on my NAVCHECK and cashRewards Visa Credit Card. I've had the account for approximately 8 years, when I enlisted into the Marine Corps, but recently started using it in early 2016. I applied on 03/23/2016 for the credit card, this was also the day I closed on my house. The following day I received an email (3/24/2016) saying it was approved for $5,000.00, I then applied for NAVCHECK the same day 3/24/2016. Since I did not want to be greedy, I only applied for $5,000.00 and was approved. Fast forward to yesterday 04/13/2016 (less than a month of having the card and CLOC) I applied for a CLI on both, to my surprise my limit on both products was increased. The new balance on my cashRewards card is $24,000 and the NAVCHECK is at $15,000.00.
I was also approved yesterday for Chase Slate with a 5,000 limit, a Southwest Card for $4,500.00, and an American Express Everyday Card for $2000.00.
Just to think when I turned 28 in September 2015, I could not get a high limit credit card, or a mortgage to save my life. Now I have 6 high limit cards, and just bought a house.
My credit scores in September 2015 were TU 560 EQ 590 EX595
My credit scores now are TU 720 EQ 699 EX 710 with many inquiries from mortgage companies.
CONGRATS!!!! That is awesome! Especially congrats on the house! Go out and buy you something nice on your new card!!! (Turn around and pay it back off though Lol )
Oh!! And welcome to the forums!!!!
Thank you for the welcome, and for the kudo's. I've definitely been slacking, and wish I would have joined sooner.
