I had applied twice before for the Apple Card. Each time I was offered 5k at 23.99%. I declined those. These were each a couple weeks apart or so. Each time my TU was about 715ish. My largest CC line is Penfed at 33k, so I didn't want to waste my time with a new 5k line that I had no clue how it would grow in time. My utilization was around 22% (out of 150k or so available) but that was a balance transfer that was being paid off.
That payment finally reported to the bureaus this week and my utilization is down to about 5% and score up to 767. Decided to try again tonight and was rewarded with 30k, although at 23.99%. Don't know why I got that percentage rate, but doesn't really matter to me as I usually pay in full, even though it's usually after the statement cuts so I usually do show some sort of a balance.

It won't let me add a photo to this post as I'm too new I guess.
Wow !! Nicely done
The fact that you got more than 10% is interesting. It seems as if they only approve nice round numbers. Otherwise, you should have gotten $27.5k.
My W2 income is 275k. I should have included my rental income on the application for a total of $350k. I was being modest. Maybe I could have seen the 40k limit had I included it all.
Actually, I did recieve a Ifruit approval for 6500.... at 17.x APR... so such things do exist... albeit a roundish number....
Holy cow. That's some persistence. Nice job and great starting limit!
