Hello all,
So I applied for the Apple card way back in August 2019 and received a sleazy credit limit of $250.00. Disclaimer: My credit score was crap. I had two cards that were C/O settled and a few missed payments. My credit score at the time barely got mama in the door, so I was grateful. My score when I applied was around 590. After a year and a half of paying things off and raising my credit score, I was finally able to get an increase. My credit limit went from $250.00 to $2,500 as of November 1, 2020. My current credit score is 650. I am continuing to work on it and pay stuff down with lower utilization. I posted this story because like some of you, I was in the credit card blues due to my own doing but it is never too late to change and improve.
To add a little background, I use the card alot. I would pay off the card every month and multiple times throughout the month. I normally spent between $500.00-$1,000 per month on the card. If I did carry a balance it was usually around $50.00 that would report and then I would pay off. I also utilize their 3% cash back for apple services and products. I also brought an apple pen on the card. I paid half of it off and get the bill of like $8.63. In the 15 months of me having the card, I've only paid $4.14 in interest charges due to using and paying off multiple times throughout the month. Let me know if this helps.
