Easy process. The Wallet app did require me to take snapshots of my DL for identity verification. Initally ran the application with my TU report locked, but got a friendly message to unlock my report and try again. I did so and couple minutes later, approved.
Added bonus? I may have gotten away with avoiding a HP on my TU report. Goldman Sachs tried a HP about 3 hours after getting approved in the Wallet app, but I had already re-locked my TU report, so the HP failed. I immediately contacted Apple support to see if this would be an issue, but they said everything looked fine on their end (though I'm not sure the rep fully understood my situation as they tried to refer me to TU for additional help). I was even able to use the Apple Card last night for an Apple Pay purchase, so 'so far so good'. We'll see in the coming days if Goldman comes back looking to try the HP again, freezes my card, or something. I'll post an update at some point.
Thanks! I can't wait to get the shiny new titanium card in the mail
I signed up to be notified the day Apple announced the card, but I've also seen some folks here say they got the invitation after signing up just a couple days ago, so I don't think Apple is doing 'first come, first serve' with the invitations. I hope you get yours soon!
Congratulations on the approval. Great SL and APR.
Congrats on your new Apple Card!
