You must be showing somebody the ropes...
We all know it takes some time to get the credit set up. And we have the 24/5 rule or so. So it is better to start early. Also, the $0 AF cards are good to start. When the minor graduates from college, he/she will have about 10 CCs already. And the minor can still apply for new cards, like the CSR or some new card at that time.
Definitely we won't apply for CCs with high AFs. That defeats the whole purpose of establishing credit history.
