Approved Discover student IT chrome! 5 yrs after discover charge off, settled for less than full amt

I had a discover student card that was 180+ days late and i settled the account for less than the full amount about 4 years ago.  Today i was finally approved for a discover IT chrome student card.  My scores are 677/694/689.  I was approved for a Discover IT chrome for students with a limit of $750.

yes i took some time off after undergrad and im now a graduate student

Congrats on your approval!  I had a charge off with them back in 2014 and paid it in full and I've been wondering how long to wait before a possibility of an approval.  5 years is not a long time to wait.  Thanks for posting this.

Why did not you pay the entire amount off?  Not sure how much $$ was written off....
