Approved for AMEX 100k but no ding on credit?

So I got approved a few days ago for the amex plat 100k maybe 4 or 5 days ago and I havent gotten a notification from Lifelock or anything about a credit inq. 

Im already an AMEX customer, opened Gold in Nov, is this normal for Amex?

First off congrats on your new Plat card. As for your question yes it is normal. Most of the time when already an AMEX customer they'll perform a SP for appplications.

Congrats on your 100k Amex Platinum approval! That what I love about Amex. Mostly SP once you are a member.

Congrats on a spectactular approval. Yes, getting new cards for only a SP is pretty normal for Amex customers.
