I was approved for amex platinum today
so i decided to apply via phone call for blue preferred and was denied siting my charge off with verizon. if denied for blue cash preferred do you think i will be denied for hilton or delta also? or should i apply for gold/green charge?
only want to apply and get another amex bc it will be a soft pull, or denied due to freeze bc i froze my credits after approval bc i do not plan to apply for anything else and my blue cash preferred was soft pull

Congratulations!! I applied for Plat online (approved) and apped for the BCE next day.
I was denied and called the recon line. They told me that based on my approval on the Platinum, they would submit that approval to the experts and have them do a manual review. They hard pulled my EX twice, once for each app, which is contrary to what a lot of people say on the forum about the first app being a HP and other applications SP.
I am still waiting to hear back from recon but was told 48-72 hours. Worst case - call in and let them know you were approved for one card but given a wait on the other, and have them look at the first application.
