Well, I have to say I've never really wanted to get an Amex Gold card (I have Plat, Aspire, and several others), and for a while it's looked like they didn't want to give me one anyway, because it never showed up in the list of available cards on my account. However, when I saw this offer, I just couldn't resist; spending $2k in the next three months that I was going to spend anyway (and the $250 AF) for 50k MR points is definitely worth it to me:

I opened the link in incognito mode on Chrome, and was instantly approved. Was given card number in advance, too.

That is insane... I was just looking at my Platinum card and think about how I have had it for almost a decade Member since 10. You guys with these thick lovely files getting all the candy. I swear!!!
