I was doing my semi-regular check for prequalified offers when one for Amex popped up. This has never happened. It was for the Gold Delta SkyMiles. 35k miles if you spend 1k in the first three months. $50 statement credit with a Delta purchase in the first three months, and a 16.74% interest rate. I did some quick research and decided to apply and was approved for $1k SL.
I know this is a low starting point for many but it is my first card with 4 digits. LOL Prior to this, my highest bankcard limit was $500 on Capital One Quicksilver One. I have been rebuiding for a year and my Experian score, which they pulled, was 636.
Hubby and I want to take a trip in 2018 so this will work! It will also be good for us as we like to go to concerts and you can often buy tickets earlier if you have an Amex.
