Approved for Discover IT..Hard AND Soft Pull !

Good Morning!

Went on little mini credit card spree..and during that time I applied for the Discover It Cash Back Card! I was expecting a soft pull based on the forum(I did the prequal page prior to applying), but I think since I had to verify identify, it became a hard hit as well. I was approved for $1600, my goal was $2000. I attribute the lower SL to the fact that I had an old charge off from my college years. My scores are not that high, but my salary is. They pulled Experian only, which is currently at 628. BTW, my score did not drop after the hard pull which I found interesting. My Equifax and Transunion is currently at 642 and 645. Not too shabby since I started this journey less than four months ago in the 540s! Not my highest card, but I love the idea of the 5% rotational awards!

Congrats on your approval! Since it's your first card with Disco, it would have been an HP either way.

Congrats! Welcome to the Disco Family! That SP from the pre-approval page was by a few and very few people. I was HP'ed for my second card after pre-approval.
