I went with the discover it miles card
That’s a great choice. Make sure you move any spend that doesn’t earn more than 3% to it so that you can get the maximum out of the first year cash back match. That’s also a great way to grow the card over time.

What are discovers rules as far a cli is it 91/3 or is it 180
Disco doesn’t have any set CLI rules. Some people smash that CLI button daily, some of us monthly, some get auto CLIs after 3 months... there is no defined pattern. You can literally be denied one day and approved the next.

Thats crazy but i guess they have a method to their madness. capital one ive had for 5 years, never missed a payment and they give me different reasons every time why i cant have a CLI. been stuck at $500 forever. i solve one reason and they come up with another one. im pretty much done using their cards

Unfortunately it takes a lot more to move out of Capital One’s buckets than it does with Disco. You will definitely see growth on your Disco if you treat it well, the timelines for that just are pretty varied.
Your $5K SL is a good indicator that you will get future increases.

You've had a pretty amazing run with them. Do you ever ask for cli's anymore?
