I just started my credit journey about 1 year and 3 months ago, didn't have an TL's before that. I got a chase freedom with a 700 score without even a year of revolving credit. I bank with them was maybe why they approved me?
I check my email and got a pleasant surprise yesterday. And auto CLI from 500 to 1000! It's been about 10 months (opened in November) I feel like I've been waiting for a while, but I'm new to credit, and figured if it didn't happen automatically at the 12 months I would ask for a cli and take the hard pull.
I have 6 TL's currently, one is a AU. I was able get get credit one to waive the monthly fee, and if they won't again I'll just cancel it. I have a 750 fico score and a car loan. I never thought in a year and a few months I could have a score this high, but thanks to this forum for helping me learn everything about credit and learning how to do it right!
I was concerned the chase card would never grow, but I use it like crazy, and pay it off right away, because it's the best rewards card I have. I read somewhere that might not be a good idea with chase, but only if you spend more than your reported income. Which I do not.
Hopefully I can get some cli's on my other cards soon, but so excited about this auto cli from chase! I guess if you actually use it, it might grow. I probably have spent 15,000 on that card in the last 10 month. In case anyone is wondering. Reported income at 95,000.
Congratulations on the credit progress and the credit line increase! Thank you for the DPs. 🙂
