BANG! AMEX BCE APPROVAL!

    If you don't mind us asking; I am sure I am not the only one who wishes to know because there are a lot of people interested in this card. What is your utilization, AAoA, any derogatories/lates reporting? and what are your FICO scores at? I am hoping to get this card at some point I am just not sure if 6 months credit history of the last 10 years will get me this card with 20k+ income. Congratulations regardless!

Unfortunately, I can't give any advice to anyone about how I got this card.

My case with AMEX is very unique, that in which I was backdated a total of 12 years because I was an authorized user when I was younger. I'm sure this is why AMEX gave me such a generous CL to start with, as well as the approval.

Since the OP didn't offer any data points, you might want to search for other BCE approvals.  I'll share my points, though:

I was instantly approved for $1500 when I apped.   They pulled EX, 672 FICO, 1 paid CO, 1 unpaid housing collection, 120 day on SL from 2009, ~9 yrs AAoA and 6% overall UTIL.   I had a successful 61 day 3X CLI .

IMHO, I'd let some of your INQ age off EX and work on any baddies.  AMEX loves low UTIL, too.

Heres my info when I applied for BCE, for your reference:

EXP Fico=671

4 baddies -
2 collections-2008 & 2009
2 judgements 2008 $1,300 & 2012 $10,000

2 current cards less than 5% utilization

$18,000 in student loan debt

3 INQ in last 3 months

They approved me for $2000 instantly, even I was kind of suprised

    Thanks for the statistics! I have been looking in many other BCE threads to compare stories and experiences to where I stand. There have been a few like hail's post above me where even someone with a few baddies yet a decent score got the card. Hopefully in a couple of months at the 6 month mark I can post some app sprees myself. Congrats to all that received a BCE though, I am definitely looking forward to my first AMEX.
