Congrats on the approval!  Nice to see someone that got the mailer get approved!  I have that mailer sitting here- did yours have the one interest rate?  I'm gardening, but man this time of year the cc companies come out with some goodies that make offers tempting!

cheers to the approvalcheers to the approval

PC = Product change

... And to explain what a "product change" means, some banks allow you to 'convert' a card from one type to another.  For example, I had an older Chase Slate Visa card and then later on, they came out with the Freedom and Freedom Unlimited cards.  They allowed me to convert the older Slate card to a Freedom Unlimited card.  The benefit is that usually you can do it without a hard pull on your credit, you carry over the aged credit limit which might be higher than you'd get on a new application, and your credit report still shows the "old" age of the original card so you maintain your AAoA (Average Age of Accounts) and possibly AoOA (Age of Oldest Acccount) if it is your oldest card.  It's a nice trick to have in your pocket.  Keep in mind, though, that all banks will not allow you to do that.  Some would make you apply for a new card instead.

Business Cards

Length of Credit > 40 years; Total Credit Limits >$850K
Top Lender TCL - Chase 156.4 - BofA 99.7 - AMEX 95.0 - CITI 94.5 - NFCU 80.0
AoOA > 30 years (Jun 1993); AoYA (Aug 2023)

Re: BBVA Approved $10,000 SL

My mailer was vague 13.99 %- 30.99% I was shocked when they approved for 16.99 % that’s my lowest APR so far..
I wasn’t gonna do it at all Capital One fooled me and screwed me... I have had the quicksilver one for a year, they sent me a message That I pre qualify for reg quicksilver ... so like a dummy I applied they hit all 3 credit bureaus at one time with hard pulls and I got the 7-10 day message ... I was pissed, got hard inquiries and was like what the hell So I did BBVA got the under review message and I thought that was a denial, so I had the synchrony mailer for the new 2% MasterCard they have And did that and was instant approved for $6200 At 26.99 APR ... so I was in shock when 3 days later BBVA sent email $10,000 SL at 16.99 % .... capital one Came back as flat denial, too many inquiries They said but 6 of them were from them Alone because they did all 3 bureaus it is Now in my sock drawer it will be years before I do another app with them!
