Baby auto CLI from NFCU (does this screw me over?)

I've been counting down the days since I was able to get a CLI on my More Rewards Amex. But today, I logged into Experian and saw this

On the plus side, I'm happy that Navy is loosening the purse strings,  and that I got a CLI earlier than I should've. But now I'm wondering if this means that I've got to wait another 181 days from now to ask for a full $8000 CLI? Hopefully not, cause that'd be lame.

Unfortuneatly that auto 2k cli does reset the clock and now you have to wait the 181.6 full. what some of us do to prevent that from happening is to call in to NAVY and ask the csr to block further automatic cli's on that card.

I wonder if that's their polite way of saying "Don't ask for $8000 cause you're not getting it", lol

Could you send in a secure message and decline the CLI, would that reverse the resetting of the clock?

Congrats on the auto CLI. Agreed, that's a legit concern.

Congrats but I understand your thoughts on this. It's too bad that an auto cli resets the clock.

Has anyone else done this? Don't wanna sour my relationship with Navy by being a pest

I have no idea if that's actually a thing, I would see if anybody else could chime in on that.

Making the call to prevent all future auto-CLI's might be helpful though for the future
