I went through a divorce and burned AMEX with an 8K charge off in 2011. I didn't pay it and it was removed from my EX in September. 2017 In October I was approved for the BCE with the steps program $500 SL (HP). I asked for a CLI at 61 days, approved to $1000. The same day I apped an was approved for Delta Gold, $2000 SL (HP) received SUB. Last month I saw the I was pre-approved for several cards. I applied for Hilton Honors with no annual fee, approved $5000 SL (SP) received SUB It was my largest starting limit.. I wanted the SPG card, but I was scared to apply even though it said I was pre-approved. Today I decided to give it a whirl, approved 10,000 SL (SP). I ran everything though my Delta and Hilton to receive the SUB. PIF the day the statement closes. I am looking forward to the 30k SPG points.
I started rebuilding until the end of 2015 and I went extremely slow. II'm learning from my mistakes (still). I don't think Citi or Chase will ever accpt me. ULT 6% monthly INQs hold my scores down EX 697 (19) TU 689 (12) EQ 680 (12), No lates, CO, or CA remain. No more apps for me, my next app spree will be for a mortgage.

Care Credit $8500, Jared $7600, Amazon Store Card $7300. BMWFS 60 months at 2.9% APR since 5/17.
Congrats on your approvals! You’ve def got back on their good side!
Congratulations! You're off the blacklist!!
Congratulations, MicheleNML! That is awesome!
Wow! Awesome SL! You are def back in with amex. Also great rebuilding story. Also like the fact that on day 61 with your credit steps program you were able to get your CL doubled. Just further proves that those cards CAN grow (many people have had their doubts lately) and if not well at least they build a relationship with amex and lead you to bigger and better limits such as this $10k! SL. Congrats! Thanks for the DP
You give me hope for increases and future apps!! Congrats on your rebuild.
Nice. Welcome back to the family.
Congrats! Getting back in with Amex was the most satisfying part of my rebuild, so I am familiar with the feeling!
My only note of caution would be on the SUBs. Trying to hit 3 SUBs simultaneously means spending a lot of money. If you end up overspending and having to carry a balance as a result, the interest you'll pay will quickly erase the value of the SUB. So, watch out! But if you can work it out, those are some awesome benefits!
