I didn't include Amex in my bankruptcy. I closed the card earlier in the year leading up to my bankruptcy at the advice of a financial planner. I was trying everything I could to avoid bankruptcy. 

it still took me 61 months to get back in. Luckily I never had a HP for the denials.  I only had one HP, and that was for the first card when they let me back in.

Edited comment: I made a type, it was 61 months, 5 years and one month, to get back in with Amex.

if you don't mind sharing, how much did you burn Amex for and did you include them in your bk? And  was it 7 or 13?
