Back in with Citi

I had to charge offs with Citi - one for $7,500; one for $3,800.   Last payment was in 2014.  They sold both to Portfolio, and I settled the debts with them for a total of $6,000 last summer.  Both were deleted from my reports per their new policy.

Last night on a whim, I decided to apply for their American Airlines card since I have an upcoming trip to Europe - approved for a $9,400 limit!    I thought for sure I'd be on the Citi blacklist forever - I guess they forgave me.    My TU is sitting at 697, EX at 674 and EQ at 692.

Re: Back in with Citi

Congrats! Thanks for the citi blacklist data point. I'm hoping to not be on it in the next 12-18 months.
