Banana Republic Store Card to Visa Upgrade....I think!

I've had my banana store card since 10/01/2014 with a cl of 1500. Since then I've grown the limit to 5500. A couple months back I got letter from BR saying that they upgraded me to the visa. Which was great news because I wanted the visa card to begin with. The wierd thing is when I log into my account it shows two seperate account. It asked me to activate the new card and when I did it says I have a cl of 8k. I would love to know if I can combine these accounts, my wife and I use the account a lot but I have no use for two BR cards. Has anyone experienced anything like this?

Congratulations! I just got the Gap upgrade, though no card yet. I think the visa replaces the store card.
